Mobility scooter or Easy Stride: which is right?

They solve different problems. A scooter carries you so you do not have to walk. Easy Stride makes walking itself easier so you stay on your feet and go where your legs can take you. If you cannot walk unaided you need a scooter or a wheelchair because Easy Stride is not safe for you.

Questions about short-term mobility hire

Can I hire an Easy Stride instead of a mobility scooter?

Only if you can already stand, balance and walk independently without a walking aid or another person. Easy Stride makes walking easier. It cannot carry you and it does not keep your balance. If you need to sit or you need support to walk, a scooter or wheelchair is the right choice.

Can I collect it or hire it locally?

No. Easy Stride is posted to addresses in mainland UK so there is no shop or collection point. Delivery is by tracked courier and return is by free post.

Can I hire it for just a day?

No. The shortest hire is 3 days. That also gives you time for the first fitting and a practice walk before you rely on it.

How do I get it in time for my trip?

Choose a delivery date when you book and allow time before you travel. Delivery explains how it arrives and what to check on the day.

Can I hire it for a holiday or a day out?

Yes. Walking holidays and Days out and gardens show how people plan a hire around a trip.

Can I hire one for a parent or partner?

Yes. You can book and pay for them. They must be 18 or over and meet every point in the suitability check. Hiring for a parent has the detail.
